Evening Debate / Tues 14 May / 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
From the suffragettes, to leading thinkers and doers 'forgotten' by history, women have made extraordinary contributions to societal advancement across all fields. Yet, while women have gained rights and opportunities across the world, huge inequalities still exist, even in the most forward-looking societies.
From the gender pay gap to media representation and sexual violence, women’s rights campaigner Helen Pankhurst and journalist Zing Tsjeng look at how women’s lives have changed over the centuries and go straight to the heart of feminism and gender equality today.
Zing Tsjeng will also give a talk to teenagers, see our TeenTalk with Zing Tsjeng.
