Befriend people outside your echo-chamber

"We have to have friends who are different from us to become less prejudiced. This is hugely political, our friends are so important and unfortunately we have less than ever before."

Sarah Stein Lubrano

Intentionally seek out and maintain close personal friendships with individuals from entirely different backgrounds, educational profiles, racial demographics, and political perspectives. Dr. Sarah Stein Lubrano identifies diverse friendships as essential political infrastructure and cognitive protection, arguing they act as a safeguard against cultish radicalisation and reduce prejudice. She emphasises that relational, deep friendships outside one’s comfort zone are necessary to rewire empathy and drive collective political action.
