7:30 pm - 8:45 pm
Full Circle has teamed up once again with Brussels Muzieque platform to bring live music to Brussels after a long period of confinement.
This will be our first full-length live concert since the lockdown with the prominent Belgian harpist and harp teacher Emma Wauters. She’ll be playing a full programme and explaining some of the secrets of her tradecraft.
Emma will be performing a programme of romantic harp music composed by high profile harpists from the 19th and 20th centuries; Hasselmans, Godefroid, Grandjany. They wrote technically challenging works that cover all aspects and colours of the harp. Emma will alternate this romantic music with the quiet music of Satie and Scriabin.
A relaxed evening of music and intelligent talk.
Belgian harpist, is a regular guest at Brussels Philharmonic, Opera La Monnaie, Flanders Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonieorchester Aachen. Emma regularly performs chamber music at venues such as Bozar, Concertgebouw Brugge, De Bijloke & Amuz. She was the assistant harp teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (2014-17) and currently holds teaching positions at the Municipal Conservatory of Brugge and the Art Academy of Torhout. Next year Emma starts teaching in the LUCA school of arts in Leuven.
